Gathorem

The governing styles of the two regions are drastically different.   To the north, the primarily tribal Orcs have very little in the way of established governmental rule across the country as a whole, as each tribe may have its own rules, restrictions, and ways of deciding who is in command. The exception is within the 3 major permanent cities, Borsk, Kinnos, and Qan, which are all owned by the Bloodtusk Clan. As the most dominant tribe by far in Northern Gathorem, they established law, which is defined by who is chief of the clan at the time.   To the south, general rules are put in place by the storm giants who rule from StormHold. While they don't interfere in the day to day life of the cities, tribes, or their inhabitants, though in the past, they have steped in to quell wars or large battles that threaten to rage out of control. The storm giants have not been seen wandering through Southern Gathorem for over 2 centuries, and their existence, as well as the existence of a way to reach StormHold have both begun fading into legend.

Across both regions, forestry is one of the most dominant industries, as is the fur trade. There is minimal mining done within the Ga'Koren Mountains though mining within the city of Qan, the Terak Chasm, and the surrounding areas, is very prominent.   Northern Gathorem has a lot of traders enter the area, though it is infrequent that they send traders out from their territories. Their primary imports are tools, equipment, and weapons. Southern Gathorem trades quite frequently with the eastern cities of Ithandruill and the country of Pharomoor. Their primary exports are fruits, vegetables, herbs, and animals native only to Gathorem.

The landscape is dominated by dense forests on both the northern and southern ends of the country. A clear-cut area exists around the Terak Chasm, cleared of forests to allow for some farming to exist near Qan. The Ga'Koren Mountains carve across the center of the country surrounding a region of rolling plains called the Giant's Cradle. To the north of the mountains lays Ka'Tset, a clear-cut and burnt section of land, frequently torched by the stone giants residing within the mountains.
