Schwartz’s Tavern
Schwartz’s Tavern is a resto-bar in Flint. It is located in the Central District, on a side street near the Orange Street market. It is not a fancy place and its prices are quite reasonable for the Central District. There is live music most nights.
Schwartz’s is known for its smoked meat sandwiches.
Another signature dish is a bagel and lox – a sliced bagel topped with cream cheese, smoked salmon, and capers. It is only served on Moonday because cream cheese doesn't keep and they're too busy during the week to make it.
The bagels are, of course, proper Flint-style bagels.
