Arson Prevented

A potential calamity was prevented by constables of the Royal Homeland Constabulary last night, as they caught several arsonists in the act of setting fire to an alchemical factory in Parity Lake. Factory owner Heward Sechim, who was inside the building at the time, said that the consequences could have been disastrous, as the factory next-door contains a large stock of firedust.

When asked if this latest attack was the work of the noted terrorist Gale, the RHC had no comment.

Goodson Snared

Wealthy industrialist and renowned son of Flint Guy Goodson has wed a Crisillyiri noblewoman, Lady Arilette, née Unitas. The ceremony at the North Shore Clergy temple was private, but a sizable crowd of well-wishers gathered outside to welcome the happy couple.

Since King Aodhan’s betrothal there has been increased interest in the wedding plans of Flint’s most prominent citizens, including Goodson, and discussion about the practice of marrying outsiders, which was formerly rare among the noble and wealthy of Risur.

Skyseer Nevard Nears Death

It is reported that preeminent skyseer, Nevard Sechim, is nearing the end of his long life. Nevard’s closest family and followers have brought the old man to live out what they expect will be his dying days near the henge where, for most of his life, he watched the stars every night. Younger skyseers are said to be consulting with him for advice on how to keep the ancient order alive and relevant in these times of industrial revolution.

For decades Nevard as one of the most prescient and respected skyseers in Risur. Recently, he withdrew into the Cloudwood east of Flint to focus on keeping his order alive.
