Body apparently dead for several days, lying on bed

• Dressed in night clothes
• Blood stains near the head

Windows closed, locked, curtains drawn

Manager reports door was previously locked

All present identify victim as CAIUS BERGERON

Mal. examines body

• Lower jaw messed up
• Hole in soft palate (?)
• No other injuries, cause of death unclear
• Time of death uncertain (1 week ago?)

• Looks like same to locations as in the map room in the Bayou Ruin

• Lock defeated non-destructively
• Valuables including coins, gems, jewellry – to be itemized
• 10 spell scrolls (similar)

Trunk appeared to have a false bottom with a magical key.

Upon unlocking, hidden compartment was empty
