After speaking with the suspected fey titan, we proceeded to our camp. Const. Mireya cast detect planar energy. Two intertwined trails of planar energy were detected, which seemed to lead back the way we had come.

We returned to the bayou where our boats were tied up and then proceeded through the swamp back to Agate, which took approximately two days. Const. Mireya reported that the trail of planar energy followed the same path. Along the way, Const. Brightmoor cast lesser restoration on myself, which relieved the psychic disturbance that I had been suffering. None of the constables have reported any psychic symptoms since that time.

In Agate we disposed of our purchased boats (see attached form RHC-499) and spoke with a local resident to get more details about the second expedition to the ruins (see attached interrogation report for Karl Wetfoot).

The next day (12 Autumn) we hired a carriage and proceeded from Agate to Bole. Again, Const. Mireya verified that the trail of planar energy did likewise.

At the Bole train station we questioned the stationmaster (see attached interrogation report). He confirmed from his files that a large heave crate matching the one previously described had been shipped to Flint on 84 Summer by one Finona Duvall, matching the description of the leader of the second expedition.

The next day we proceeded to Flint on the train, arriving on the morning of 14 Autumn. Const. Mireya observed that the trail of planar energy did not leave the train at any intermediate station. However, after arriving in Flint she reported that the energy trail was confused and very difficult to follow.

Const. Daecer questioned some porters at King’s Station who remembered unloading a large heavy crate (see attached interrogation report). They reported that a group matching the description of the second expedition was met by a subject matching the description of Caius Bergeron.

As we proceeded from the station to RHC HQ, Const. Mireya reported sensing a concentration of planar energy in the vicinity of the Kaybeau Arms Expo. Upon investigation, two sources of planar energy were discovered and confiscated (see attached form RHC-63).

1. A suspected ancient artifact in the form of a ceremonial dagger was found in the stage area, among stored items apparently belonging to Rock Rackus (currently in custody).
2. Two badgers tainted with planar energy were in the possession of Fildi and Dilfi (previously encountered). They were apparently contaminated accidentally during a previous incident (see incident report of 1 Autumn).

We then proceeded to the Central District Jail to interview Rock Rackus. The subject was cooperative and provided information about his past dealings with Bergeron. We arranged to transfer custody of Rackus to this office and accompanied him to his residence, where he provided us with some scrolls obtained by him during an expedition funded by Bergeron.

Upon our return to RHC HQ, this investigation was interrupted by a probe into potential criminal conduct by Const. Brightmoor. This was easily shown to be a clumsy attempt by the Kell Guide to frame the constable for murder, although some of us have never really trusted said constable.

After that, the other members of this squad excluding myself proceeded to the Silver Swan Inn to interview Caius Bergeron. Upon arrival, they discovered that Mr. Bergeron was deceased, in a suspicious manner. The investigation of that incident will be described in a separate report.
