Transmission & Vectors

The early forms were transferred from the alchemical compound into a living organism system either through injection of via blood transfer. Eating or drinking contaminated foods/drinks was the highest occurring way of infection. However, the once transmuted the monstrous beings bite could transfer the infection into another. In the beginning, only the living could receive the infection, but the late form of it could raise the dead.

Symptoms

The original forms turned people, causing their skin to bubble up into a lump's protective shell, where mindless monsters of destruction. However, they have grown intelligent, more powerful, larger, fiendish, and magic immunity.

Treatment

There appears to be no form treatment of cure once infected of the main variant, the original variant from The @Colod Outbreak was cured by Zizvrer.

In all accounts, it is firmly believed that only humanoid creatures can become infected by the ailment.

History

First, occurred in Colod, in an event known as @The Colod Outbreaks. Food and water sources were infected by diseases that caused mass outbreaks over the entire city. Hopebringer showed up to Colod and swiftly and mysteriously cured the entire city in only a few days, asking for nothing in return saying the knowledge he learned will far surpass any reward they city could afford. He adapted this disease to make it more powerful, more controlled, and more useful as defenders of the common folk against mages in cities worldwide.

Cultural Reception

At the being of its existence, everyone was fearful of the infected, but after Hopebringer showed his ability to control the infection has his soldiers that view changed. Those that sided with the Hopebringer viewed them as stoic protectors given a chance to do good, those against saw them as feared abominations.
