Xuè quán
Xuè quán is a three‑piece arm harness (gauntlet, vambrace & counter, and rerebrace & pauldron) crafted of a gold filigreed metal and inlayed with jade groves that channel blood as fuel for brutal blood‑magic; it is cursed to weld to the wearer and demands a steady sacrifice to unlock sanguine powers.
Cursed Item: On first equipping the item, the gauntlet welds to the forearm and cannot be removed by mundane means.
Internal Barbs: At the end of each Long Rest, the wearer takes 1 piercing damage (per number of armour pieces) from the barbs inlayed inside.
Roleplay Effect: When you wear this item, a continuous stream of blood pours from your hand. Using the item's abilities requires manually driving the barbs into the flesh.

- Sanguin Volly: As an action, whip a bolt of condensed blood at a target creature.
1d10 necrotic (+ 1d6 for each additional HP die sacrifice). - Clot Shield: As a reaction, manifest a barrier of solidified blood in front of you that is capable of shielding you from a degree of damage.
Absorbs 10 points of damage. (+ 5 for each additional HP die sacrifice). - Hemalurge Grasp: Create a short spectral blood tendrils in a 15 ft line that can restrain an appropriate creature (Strength/Acrobatics Save).
Plus one tendril for each additional HP die sacrificed. - Greater Clot Shield: As a reaction, manifest a barrier of solidified blood anywhere within 10 feet that is capable of shielding you or another creature from a degree of damage.
Absorbs 20 points of damage. (+ 10 for each additional HP die sacrifice). - Septicemia: You cast Hemalurge Grasp, but your blood has become infused with a sickening disease.
Creatures restrained by Septicemia take 1d6 necrotic damage at the start of their turn. - Life Leech: The blood of your foes becomes your balm. If sanguine volley reduces a creature to 0 HP, you regain HP equal to half the damage dealt (rounded down).
- Sanguin Bastion: Harden blood around your body to act as armour. You gain +5 AC until you long rest.
- Anchor: Teather your life force to that of a creature, immediately drop to death saves and take one point of exhaustion, deal 100 damage to the target creature.

History
Variants of this arm harness are associated with the riverine, spice‑rich culture of Xiángchéng and the Sānjiǎozhōu wèiduì’s field units. However, this particular piece was forged as punishment for a Dàshì who turned craven and fled the battlefield. Cursed to feel always the bite of defeat that he allowed that day.
