Tsuinsouru

Tsuinsouru is a rare condition where a person is born with double Anima, two life‑threads or “souls”, granting heightened self‑perception, unusual resilience, and a persistent inner voice of another self; it often shapes identity, family fate, and how communities treat the born.

Co-Dependance: If your Tsuinsouru is rendered unavailable after reaching the damage threshold, you must make a Wisdom save to cast spells (DC = 10 + Spell Level(x2)). On a fail, the spell is not cast.

Roleplay Effect: You often hear or see shadow voices or images of your twin soul walking around or speaking to you. You might seem to be talking to yourself as you respond to these shadow images.

Twin Echo: When you cast a spell, you can cast it twice with the same action.

Shared Life: As a reaction, displace incoming damage onto the twin soul up to a certain threshold. Once that threshold has been reached, the Tsuinsouru is unavailable until after a long rest.

Causes

Tsuinsouru describes individuals whose anima manifests as two distinct currents instead of one. One anima behaves like a normal life‑thread: it fuels body, memory, and will. The second anima is quieter and stranger: it senses echoes of other selves, remembers lives that never were, and sometimes answers with a different tone. The condition appears at birth and is sometimes visible as a faint double pulse in the chest or a subtle shimmer in the eyes. It is not a disease but a rare metaphysical state tied to lineage, place, or unusual births.

Tsuinsouru births often lead to twins being born, single births with the condition are rare and carry significant danger the the fetus.

Cultural Reception

Tsuinsouru is read differently across cultures. Some see it as a blessing: a sign that the gods have doubled their trust. Others fear it as an unstable soul that might fracture or attract spirits. In many communities, the condition shapes rites of passage: special naming ceremonies, paired talismans, or a second godparent to honour the extra anima. Stigma can be as dangerous as the condition itself; some regions exile Tsuinsouru children, while others elevate them to seers or mediators.
