The Northern Reach: The Voice in the Cellar

General Summary

The party opens the cellar at the Trapper's Cabin to find a small mousefolk bard nervously playing the lute like her life (quite literally) depended on it. In the seat next to her at a small table was a hulking, muscle-bound pygmy giant, seemingly mollified by her music, but hungry, and with a mood that could turn on a dime.   The heroes deftly (and musically) extracted the bard, named Gruyere, and tactically set themselves up for a battle with Porc the Pygmy Giant. Quickly realizing that they were outmatched, however, they escaped the cellar, with Mushy igniting the wood inside and Milo slamming an iron door patch over the top of the cellar, trapping the Giant inside.   The party bandaged their wounds and continued by river, pulling Keen's large vessel out of its bottle, and christening it with a name and a bottle of Kitty Kognac. As the rest of the party sipped coffee from Gruyere's fine porcelain set, the newly named ship ran aground as the river thinned.   Disembarking, the party encountered two clerics of Tiamat, who demanded the corpse of the Brass Dragon. Sir Blueberry, thinking quickly, charmed both of them with the help of Gruyere, and they moved aside to let them pass.   That, however, is when the small white dragon wyrmling attacked...   Songs of Glory:+2 Milo, Sir Blueberry, Rousseau, Alexander, Mushy, Keen, Lorenzo
