Paezamity
Mythology & Lore
End of Time
When the God-Dragon Baiyur̃ag is awakened from his unconscious imprisonment, he will bring about the beginning of the end by killing the Equalizer and Cycle-Begetter Paezamei. Her brood will hatch from her skull, bringing with them a fierce squall. Numerous enough to turn the sky blacker than night, they will consume all. The bodies of heretics and heathens are eaten alive, only for their spirits to be reborn into the world. This creates a crueler version of Paezamae's life and death cycle, unequal in life being painfully shorter than death. Depending on the sect, true Paezits are given some form of escape from such a fate.
The two most commonly accepted versions of Paezit fate are:
- The bodies of true Paezits will also be eaten, but in a quick and painless manner. Their spirits will be sent to live under Paezamei in the highest palace of the afterlife, honoring her for all eternity.
- Paezamae's spirit splits when she dies, being absorbed by her true followers. This grants them eternal tranquility and happiness, in addition to being able to peacefully coexist with her brood.
Some less common interpretations include:
- True Paezits will be turned into the same bird creatures as Paezamei's children, symbolizing their closeness to her and granting them the right to bring justice upon evil souls in her absence.
