Ancient language
for millenia, the intelligent species of Yull, other than locustai, have all spoken the same language. But that language has changed vastly over time. In ancient times it was so different that it now requires a trained translator (or a faerie, as they are near-omnilingual) to read it. It does however share certain similarities with the current tongue: Both are written in such a way as that the characters vaguely match the shape of the mouth and tongue while pronouncing that sound. Both also have marks at the start, whether spoken or written, to indicate the recipient and subject.
