Erindil Tréanbough (ERR-in-dil TRAY-en-boh)

  Erindil (lover of the woods) is a half elf. His father is an elven general and his mother a human wizard. He was raised as a wood elf. The son of a general of his people. Erindil was raised in a military culture and so is versed in the art of war. He served under his father for five years. During this time he fought valiantly while his people were at war with orcs who assaulted their homeland. Though he is a capable warrior, Erindil disdains the rigidity of military life. Being half-elven he is not entirely comfortable with adult life in elven culture. Because of his close connection to his mother (who died in combat during the orc war), he is intrigued by human culture and thoughts of the afterlife. However, he does not seek to participate regularly in human culture. He is most comfortable living in the woods and spending time with family and friends there when they come to visit.   Erindil is the eldest of five siblings: brothers Golodil (lover of wisdom). Noledil (lover of lore), and Anardil (lover of sunlight). and one sister who is Anardil's twin, Kalthoniel (light kindler, a budding wizard in the image of her mother).   Through his mother he has developed a close friendship with a sliver dragon named Celebrien. While Celebrien's lair is high in the nearby mountains, she finds joy in spending time with Erindil's people and frequently visits their community. She will assist them when she senses great need and was instrumental in turning the tide in the orc war.   Conscious of his gifts and the value of his training in the service of Corellon Larethian, he has chosen the life of a ranger. As such he serves his father faithfully as a guardian of their woodland realm. He has led this lifestyle for 5 years and is most pleased with it.    

disposition

Due to recent developments in the region, Erindil has met with his father and the council of elders to discuss the possibility of traveling beyond the mountains to seek out allies and find news of any potential threats to his people. All have agreed that this is a worthy venture. Erindil's brothers will take turns serving as guardians of the woods in his absence.    

beliefs

Though he believes in the god of his people, Erindil nurtures the longing in his heart and mind (a seed sown by this mother) for something more and wonders if there is someone greater than all of the gods of this world. He holds this notion privately out of respect for his people and for Corellon himself.
