THE VERDANT SANCTUARIES
Rural Bathhouses, Hot Springs & Druidic Retreats of YonZora
Hidden throughout the wild regions of YonZora—far from major cities, tucked into valleys, glades, riverbanks, and forest clearings—stand the peaceful waystations known as the Verdant Sanctuaries.
Part bathhouse, part hot-spring resort, part sacred druidic refuge, these Sanctuaries function as:
- Affordable public rest stops for farmers, travelers, and rural families
- Sacred safe havens for druids between their Circles
- Centers of natural medicine and rejuvenation
- Nodes in the world’s magical root-network connected to Aetherion Yggelora
Though modest in size and rustic in construction, each Sanctuary is imbued with ancient purpose and gentle magic.
The Sanctuaries are built for common folk—not nobles.

The Verdant Aspen (The Chain Trees)
Each Sanctuary is built around, or beside, a sacred Verdant Aspen—a living offshoot of Aetherion Yggelora, the world’s first and most ancient tree.
These Aspens form a network of identical magical roots, allowing druids to travel between Sanctuaries and Circles.
The public sees the trees as beautiful and mysterious—but only druids know their full purpose.
Verdant Aspen Traits
- Their leaves softly glow at night.
- Their presence calms wild beasts and soothes troubled minds.
- Their roots give off natural warmth, heating the springs.
- Sap from the Aspen is used to craft Verdant Tokens.
The Druids’ Hidden Purpose
While the common folk enjoy the comforts of the bathhouses, druids secretly use the Sanctuaries as:
- Safe rest between missions
- Teleportation nodes using the Verdant Aspens
- Communion sites with the living Weave of Nature
- Healing grounds for those wounded in service to balance
Druids may stay up to 8 hours, in accordance with Tatsuo’s decree.
Rules of the Verdant Sanctuaries
Softly enforced, politely stated, but absolute:
1. No violence or predation on Sanctuary grounds.
Nature’s peace is sacred here.
2. Payment is only in Verdant Tokens or Local Coin.
Tokens unlock druidic services; coin pays for public commodities.
3. No exploitation of the springs or the Verdant Aspen.
No harvesting bark, leaves, roots, or water without permission.
4. Sanctuary Keepers speak with the authority of all Circles.
Their word ends disputes.
5. Druids must not reveal the World-Tree’s secrets to the public.
Payment System: Verdant Tokens & Local Coin
The bathhouses operate with a dual-payment system.
FOR COMMON FOLK:
Local YonZoran coin is accepted for:
- Baths
- Rooms
- Meals
- Skin products
- Herbal treatments
- Candles, balms, soaps
Affordable and fair—never price-gouged.
FOR DRUIDS:
