Shadewood

Within this enormous forest, the mighty trees include Kapoks, Ironwood, Mahogany, draped with long and thick vines and surrounded by extensive underbrush. The canopy is so thick that with the exception of the rare open copse of trees or occasional clearing, only a dim light is provided during the day, and total darkness exists at night. Although the trees are a mere 12m (40ft) tall at the edges, within 150m (500ft), the trees reach as tall as 100m (330ft). All manner of strange and mythological beasts and creatures dwell within these woods, making it an invaluable source of rare ingredients for magical potions and mystical artifacts. Within it's borders also lie the multitude of corpses of those that ventured too far, as the denizens of this forest do not take kindly to hunters.
