Half-Sword Expert {Feat}
Prerequisite: Proficiency with longswords
You've trained in the latest sword fighting techniques, learning to more effectively use a longsword with two hands. You gain the following benefits:
- You've learned two additional two-handed sword stances for wielding longswords. Each stance deals a different type of damage, and confers an additional benefit. You can change your sword fighting stance as a bonus action.
- Pommel Smash: You swing your sword by the blade and bash foes with the pommel. Attacks made with this sword stance deal Bludgeoning damage. Additionally, Once per turn, when you hit a creature with an attack using this stance, you can move it 5 feet to an unoccupied space, provided the target is no more than one size larger than you.
- Thrusting Strikes: You grip the base of your sword with your offhand, increasing the accuracy of your stabbing attacks. Attacks made with this sword stance deal Piercing damage. Additionally, you gain a bonus to attack rolls made with this sword stance equal to half your proficiency bonus
- Defensive Footwork: Your experience with your traditional sword stance allows you to focus on your defense by parrying blows with your sword, bracing the blade with your offhand. Attacks made with this sword stance deal Slashing damage. Additionally, you gain a bonus to your AC equal to half your proficiency bonus while using this stance.
