Axe of the Fates
Greataxe, Very Rare, Requires Attunement
This Axe has been granted to mortals as a tool for the fates themselves. It has passed into both good and evil creatures, both Chaotic and Lawful, in accordance to the will of Fate. It's shaft contains entwined unknown metals of light and dark. When drawn with two hands, the pure silvery metal seems to glow softly (providing no useful light though) and the darker metal seems to drink in that light even as it is produced. A blade appears at either side of the head of the axe, made of soft blue light, nearly invisible.
When great feats of prowess are near to occurrence, it will guide the hands of those who use it, allowing a critical hit on an attack roll of 19 or 20. Accordingly, it also deals 1d20 Force damage, instead of the usual 1d12 of a great axe. While attuned to this axe, the bearer also gains +3 to Wisdom (Insight) Checks.
