The Library
This realm of an object was designed and built by Vestivious with the help of Birzrath. The goal was to create a methodology of recording and sharing knowledge. They were wildly successful and created a key that not only contains The Library, but also "unlocks" the realm. Beings that have learned to enter this realm are confronted with secrets of the universe that can drive lesser minds mad. Stay out of the restricted section.
Bits of knowledge and even memories can be stored in energetic constructs for later use. These can be envisioned as crystals with characteristics that noticably vary depending on what memories they contain. Properly organized information that entities can experience as if they were the ones to originally experience it.
This realm takes the form of a key that is actually rather easy to misplace. It seems to have a mind of it's own and will occasionally manifest as the possession of someone with new knowledge, or someone in need of knowledge. The exception is Vestivious, who can not only enter the realm from anywhere, but also summon the key from anywhere.
Throughout History, many have found this key with no idea it was any more than just an old trinket. Those who were able to enter The Library gained access to knowledge as ancient as time itself.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Externally this realm manifests as a simple key, however it contains one of the largest realms ever. This mostly sentient artifact has the ability to manifest anywhere at will, and has accrued a boggling magnitude of information.
History
During the third iteration of the universe, The Library and The Mariindin Beads become good friends! Both of them are intelligent artifacts with power and understanding that few can rival.
Rarity
There is a misconception of commonality due to this artifact's habit of frequently changing location. Given the number of sightings or users one could easily figure there are at least several of them.
However, there is only one key to The Library.
