Mel'Trixl

Mel'Trixl is one of the few humans to survive the events that led to their extinction. She was lucky enough to be under the employ of Burl'maga at the time and continues to serve him to this day. Mel has an otherworldly resistance to fire and heat in general. Even her hair will remain unscathed. After trespassing into one of his cave shrines, Mel was engulfed by a sudden and immense torrent of white flames that spewed out the mouth of the cave and into the sky. She was thrown to the ground by the sheer blunt force. When the flames cleared, the walls of the cave were still glowing red hot. Mel'Trixl was completely unburned. Naked, yes, but even her hands and feet touching the glowing red hot walls remained unharmed as she stood back to her feet. Intrigued, Burl'maga forcibly enlisted her under threat of hitting her with the type of power that could melt an entire mountain into a sea of slag. Since then she has become faithful and loyal, and a very powerful being with an immortal soul. Her immunity to fire made her an excellent subject for the Phoenix project, and she has "died" several times only to come back stronger.   =====   Mel'Trixl has no fire capabilities whatsoever. Her usefulness stems from her innate and uncanny ability to resist heat. When she was born, her mother exploded into a ball of fire and destroyed the property, and all the buildings. Everything died almost instantly and turned to ash. Found by a military officer who was investigating the explosion. He heard a crying baby buried in the ash, and took her in as his own.    Mel'Trixl trained hard under the Skar elite, and developed unrivaled martial ability. Her skill with hand to hand was terrifying even to those with actual weapons. She gave up long ago trying to use fire itself, but still used her immunity to heat as a catalyst for others to capacitate and stabilize advanced casting.   Eventually she came under the employ of Burl'maga, who outfitted her with several powerful flame artifacts that would easily annihilate most coporeal beings. Still unable to use actual fire, her SoulForce can be converted by artifacts into flames that are more powerful and dexterous than most with natural talent would be able to conjure.
