Dyvenyne
This soft and warm metal was created by Albus, using Holy energies and raw will. Brought to the mortal realms by Thelmra, daughter of Albus. Much of the Holy Imperium is outfitted with this material, and most items have it as a basic component. The will of Albus, specifically the sides of Love and Hate, resides in every part of this material, everywhere. It will damage entities he has declared to be evil, and it will empower his people, and heal his champions.
This is an extremely common material used to build structures within the imperium, and Absul infrastructure is unnaturally resilient.
Properties
Physical & Chemical Properties
Designed to dissipate dangerous energies and disperse excessive amounts of energy. When encountering an energy that would normally be destructive, it redirects or reflects the energy around and away from the material. If the material experiences a spike in SoulForce, it will absorb and rapidly exude the energy. Casters favor this material for it's protection against backfires. The armor is deceptively light and used to make heavy weapons and armor and equipment that can protect against magic and physical damage with great efficiency.
Holy energy is like a warm embrace to the chosen people of Albus, it both heals and prevents things like frostbite.
Origin & Source
New Dyvenyne must be acquired by Thelmra, who visits Albus in the cathedral of stars. Albus generates this material from his very being in a way that allows the energy to enter the mortal realms. Thelmra then brings the material back to the Holy Imperium, where it can be used by anyone with the knowledge to do so.
History & Usage
Hazards
Enemies of Albus will find this material offensive to be around, and contact with the material can cause minor burns. Weapons or equipment constructed of Dyvenyne can dig and plow through almost anything. Blades and other thin items of this material will slowly melt through whatever material they are attempting to cut, or whatever comes into contact with a sharp piece of Dyvenyne.
If a champion or other chosen of Albus becomes "evil" in the eyes of Thelmra, she can "blacklist" the entity, and they will burst into flames within their own armor. Their weapons will melt through their hands, and their bones will boil against the exposed surfaces of the metal.
The roads of the imperium are infused with the dust of this material and will make enemy's feet itchy, slowly burning them.
Environmental Impact
This material exudes life and will. Plant life nearby tends to flourish. Many gardening and farming tools are constructed entirely of Dyvenyne, and produce impressive yields.
By design, Dyvenyne has very little negative impacts on the environment. The material does cause plant life to accelerate their growth. This can be potentially catastrophic to a biosphere if it is dependent on a fragile balance. Otherwise the element is relatively stable.
Reusability & Recycling
This material can be returned to Thelmra, who will then return it to Albus. It's energies can be renewed into fresh material to then be returned to the mortal realms.
It takes a large amount of energy to create small amounts of Dyvenyne, so The material is renewed frequently to prevent such energy loss.
