Archmage Kaz

Probably the most well known mage in history, she is one of the very few humans left alive.   She is mortal in the sense that her coporeal vessel can be destroyed, however she modified her very soul to maintain integrity in the void.   The Reavers find it rather annoying to patch up the damage caused when she rips herself back into reality, and it's basically impossible to contend with her in this form. She punched enough Reavers in the face, and has escaped the place so many times that the Reavers made a special "door" just for her. She never has any business here other than to leave, and at this point they just want her to leave as fast as possible.   She created the concept of arcanism after brokering a deal with Fae, specifically Zek'Ashel. She was tasked with acquiring a rare and superconductive metal known as ((not Turingidden)). She was unaware that the task was thought to be impossible. Once brought to Zek'Ashel he was pleasantly surprised, and fashioned it into a staff capable of surviving any physical strike. He solidified his blood and wove it around the staff like ornate braided strands, and crystallized her very SoulForce into 2 baubles that swirl on either end of the staff.   This staff was designed to be used by humans, specifically Archmage Kaz. Other humans will have difficulty Wielding the artifact, and other races will find the artifact too heavy to move.   Some say this artifact is the reason she became so powerful, but this is only partially true. She was already skilled enough to travel most of reality, aware enough to be accepted by the Fae, and powerful enough to be respected by several deities, and mechanically immortal. Zek'Ashel crafted the artifact in such a way that it was durable and conductive, but he infused it with no actual power. The artifact is very useful to her as a channeling and defensive artifact. It is virtually indestructible and will ground or negate most energy types. However the power comes from her, and the staff only hastened her rise to greatness.   She has not been seen since her species was effectively eradicated. supposedly she has frequently been spotted in several locations throughout the mortal realms, but it is truthfully unknowable where she is or what she is doing.
