Fainters Mead

Fainter's Mead is the strongest alcohol currently known in Golivion. Fainter's Mead has a light grey-ish color, and has a strong bitter taste, that many can't stomach. Due to its strength it is banned in many cities and sectors throughout Golivion. Fainter's Mead is a little different to other meads because people believe Fainter's Mead has some sort of magic applied to it.   No one exactly knows who created Fainter's Mead, but many speculate due to its magical properties the mead was created by Thorburn Denucos an old member of the Mage's Cabal. Thorburn was once a very influential member of the Mage's Cabal, but due to conflict of interest between him and other members he was kicked off the council. Thorburn, jobless, needed a way to make a lot of money. He decided to create an addictive alcohol. Unfortunately in the process of creating this alcohol he accidentally Thorburn's exposure to creating so much of this alcohol had caused him to become blind. This alcohol was known as Molten Nectar.   Molten Nectar quickly became very popular, and one of Thorburn's old students tracked him down and forced him to give him the recipe. After receiving the recipe he killed Thorburn and tried to create Molten Nectar. But instead of creating the most addictive alcohol he created the strongest alcohol known as Fainter's Mead. This student was known as Brar Singlesoar.   Today Brar Singlesoar is the only distributor of Fainter's Mead. He covers his tracks very well, keeping his identity hidden. Brar runs an entire operation of selling Fainter's Mead to legal places as well as illegal places. Most people on the streets know Brar as The Mead Man, The Fainter, or The Meadpin.   Unfortunately due to Fainter's Mead being a type of alcohol and being addictive it has taken hundreds of thousands of lives. Which is why it is banned in most places.   In order not to succumb to the Fainter's Mead magic a person must make a DC 15 CON save or pass out.
