Week One
Set a word goal and your area of focus
This year I'm not very sure I'd have time to write a lot, so my initial goal will be 10.000 words but I'd like to write many more . Last year I wrote 20.019 words, a quite remarkable feat for me, and I'm very proud of it!. I also won the best military unit award!! the first category I won since I joined Worldanvil almost 5 years ago!, and that was an awesome experience!.
So this year, if possible, I want to reach the same amount of words or even surpass it, I think with the ideas I've in mind, I'm sure I can write tons of words!.
I start to believe, due to my previous experiences, that unlike other challenges like SummerCamp, during WorldEmber because you can't write whatever you want without any prompts, words and ideas are not a problem during this challenge!.
Choose your area of focus
So, my first idea for WE was to focus on one continent alone. Last WorldEmber I focused on the continent of Teria, and my first idea for this year was to focus on the continent of Karia. But, lately, I came up with many article ideas that are related to both continents so this year I'll work on both continents (their cultures, traditions, geography... etc). These are some of the article ideas I've in mind:
So my ideas for articles are these ones at the moment (divided by continents)
Western Continent (Teria)
Year of the 6 emperors ( military conflict)
Kigdom of the Snow Elves (organization)
Legionaries (military formation)
Mass spectacles in Blati (tradition?)
Radali peoples (ethnicity)
Steam transport (vehicle)
The Hand of God (geography)
Eastern Continent (Karia)
The Protectorate of the East (organization)
Sun elves (ethnicity)
Sun elf dialect (language)
Sandshapers (profession)
Harpy (species)
Harpy mating ritual? (tradition)
The Lotus Empire (organization)
I'm also very hyped for the drawings I'm planning to do for this year's WorldEmber ( hopefully I should have some of them done before the challenge begins). Some, I think, would be more difficult to draw than others, and thus they'd recquire more time to do them, but I'm sure that both you guys and me are going to enjoy these little additions to the articles, specially dealing with new species like the Harpies!. I'm looking forward to amaze you with my articles this year now that I can do a bit of CSS magic! :3.

Week 2
Review my homepage
I think the introduction is good, it gives an introduction of what Yeia is about, it sets the tone, is that the right expression? but some concepts such as the role of magic needs to be "updated". I don't know if I should add more categories to the homepage because I've the feeling that there are already a lot and if I add more the homepage might be a bit...saturated.
The map also needs an update since the dwarven realms in the present time are not yet represented on it (it might take). The same can be done for the some of the timelines that you see in the homepage. I need to keep working on them.
Primer
The primer also need to be updated, there are new races, ethnic groups and realms that need an spot in that introduction. I think I haven't finished redoing it so this is a perfect moment for redoing it!. The primer could also be a good place for showing more of my art and some of the articles I made during these months and years.
CSS wizardry
I'm not a CSS wizard, but a humble apprentice. In fact I've to thank a lot to my friends in the WA community for having taught me some tricks and CSS "spells" for making my world and my articles better. I'd like to continue with this trend of improving my knowledge and skills with CSS in order to make my world better. What I'm planning to do with CSS is to keep doing especific themes for each culture as I've been doing these months.
Week 3
Read a book or watch a movie!
Lately I've been reading two books that are helping me creating new mythological stories , these two books are
Journey to the West and the
Silmarillion. The first is certainly waaay chonkier than the second one but I'm enjoying both!. And regarding movies and tv shows that have something in common with my world I watched Dungeon Meshi (Gosh, Ryoko Kui's worldbuilding is great and detailed!). I've to watch also The Dragon Prince (I stopped watching it in season 2 and I'd like to resume that show.
Create a moodboard
I've waaay to many images in Pinterest that serve me as inspiration. Perhaps I should search some of the folders in order to add some of them to show you guys the mood of the world and what is going to be add to it during WorldEmber.
Create or expand your writing playlist
I usually listen to music a lot while I'm writing or drawing (as well as some podcasts), but I don't have an specific playlist, I just choose the music or song I want to hear depending on the culture or the character I'm writing or drawing. But I think now it could be the right time to create a playlist. Most of it are soundtracks from videogames, films or tv shows (you can find some of them in my articles ^^).
Week 4
Find a community
I'm very proud of being part of the WA community. I've met very wonderful people in these 4 for years since I joined Worldanvil, and it never ceases to amaze me how supportive and welcoming this community is. The STC are awesome!, and I enjoy their company, humor and support, and I don't know if they aware of how much their support and help means to me. The cookies cottage is also a nice an amazing group and I'm proud that they consider me a fellow cookie!.
I'll also share my articles in my social networks for everyone to see and so that you don't miss them!.
Plan your writing schedule
I'd try to write my articles during the afternoon and evening, those are the moments of the day when I've more time. If I need to add some artwork for the articles I'll try to make the drawings during the weekend. But this schedule of course is subject to change depending on my free time or even my mood.
Get some fresh air!
I've always had the oppinion that some fresh air is good for relaxing and return home with the head focused on your task ahead, the same applies to worldbuilding. I like to walk along the little river walk near my house, listening to the water flowing and the birds singing. It is certainly the perfect spot for me to relax before writing or drawing!.
That looks like you got some clear plans - can't wait to read about all of those. Looking forward to see more of you during WorldEmber.
Thank you Tyrdal!, let's see if I can write most of them!. I'm looking forward to your articles.!!
