Proto-Davidovian language
Origins
The Proto-Davidovian peoples are the ancestors of Ikarians, Seris, Oronai , Crorai and Kallians. They lived west of the God's hand and were pastoralists and farmers. They were also masters o bronze, becoming one of the first human cultures to master bronze casting technology. They lived in hillforts, protected by strong stone walls with various layers of moats. Though they never left any written record, but through the languages that descend from it, it is possible to reconstruct a great portion of that old, mysterious language spoken during the Bronze Age.What we can know about this language?
We can deduce some facts about this language thanks to the comparison of its five daughter languages. First, that the Main word order was Subject- Verb- Object , as it is the one found in all davidovian languages. There are also very common words among the Davidovian language that descend from the Proto-Davidovian language, like the word for fern , which is a variation of the Proto-Davidovian word phwentos or for example the name of the numbersEnglish | Seris | Kallian | Ikarian | Oronai | Crorai |

Split into multiple languages
The process of diversification of the dialects of Proto-Davidovian seems to have happened very quickly as the migrations of the The proto-Davidovian peoples began around 3500 BP. Around this time, the dialects of Proto-Davidovian were mutually intelligible between them; for example in stories about the descendants of the hero Davidion there are instances of Kallian and Seris heroes talking between themselves apparently with no translators, what degree of reality this conveys is difficult to know, but since these are the oldest references, we will believe that there is some truth behind the myth. These dialects became proper languages as time went by due to their own internal development as well as their isolation from the other Davidovian dialects; for example, the Seris were separated from their cousins in their old home continent of Teria by the Suris Strait, and because of that they also receive some influence from the local languages as well as elvish. The Kallians were also separated from the Yavana Culture (the proto-Ikarians/proto-Oronai) by the Albine mountains, only coming in contact with them after the latter migrated to the South, and lastly the Crorai, once the second wave of migrations of the Davidovian peoples ended , became mostly isolated from the Ikarians and Oronai to the South, especially after the Crorai converted to Dark magic and the old friendships, alliances and treatises that they had with the rest of the Davidovian peoples ended. They too received influences in terms of vocabulary from the neighbouring peoples, mostly from the nomadic peoples to the west and the Nords and Liwalis to the North. In 2348 BP we have the earliest inscription in a davidovian language, Seris, albeit in a very archaic form. Evidences for Kallian, the closest language to Seris among the Davidovian languages, comes from their cousins and conquerors, the Ikarians, who incorporated a decent ammount of words from Kallian into their language and also wrote about the Kallian language, but aside of that, the Kallian peoples didn't left any written record. For Ikarian and Oronai, we know that both have the same origin inside the Davidovian family of languages. It is speculated that a common language might have evolved from Proto-Davidovian in the Yavana culture, the civilization that later on split into Ikarians and Oronai when they migrated to the South. The earliest inscription in Ikarian dates to 1126 BP, a century before the foundation of the Empire and it is also religious in nature. For Oronai we have to wait another 300 years to have written evidence of the language. At this stage, in the early Iron Age, both languages were almost indistinguishable aside of phonetic differences. but over time they began to appear differences in vocabulary between them, but despite this separate evolution both languages are still mutually intelligible. Crorai, the last of the Davidovian languages, was first attested almost around the same time as the Ikarian and Oronai languages, thanks to an inscription dated around 865 BP which talks about a military victory of a Crorai army against a raid from Nord tribes. In terms of vocabulary and grammar Crorai shares more similarities with Oronai and Ikarian than with Seris and Kallian.
