The Hemorrhage

Era beginning/end

The moment when Amans broke free and sundered the earth marks the end of the A.D. eara and the begging of the P.H. era.

Leylines across the earth erupted spewing out clouds of inky shadow which roared through the skies to gather hundreds of feet above the top of mount Everest. This inky shadow was revealed to be Aman's true form and power leaving hibernation and joining with his intelligence and soul. There a band of supernatural heroes fought his avatar before he could become whole and snuff out the sun. While they fought fiercely they failed to stop him becoming whole and Amans joined with his body leaving earth for the sun and tearing the mountain to pieces in doing so. Through the sacrifice of one of the party and the faith of the rest They were able to summon the true god and receive his blessings allowing them to to finally shatter Amans in a final battle at the heart of the sun.   Amans with his dying breath called out to his mate and While Amans's body and shattered mind snapped back to earth it would seem that Amans had partially completed his goal and the sun began dying. as the sun puttered an struggled to burn fighting back the shadowy absence of light growing and writhing within it the heroes had to do something, and with the heroes combined effort they were able channel their own divinity sacrificing their own godlike power in the process and created a new being named Sol. Sol not being as large or as powerful as the sun it was made from now orbits earth tending to it as the sun did. Though Sol for reasons unknown will disappear from time to time slowly dimming away until there is nothing to light the earth for days and sometimes months. but after the hemorrhage the laws of earth were changed forever and Sols rays made life possible where once impossible changing the organisms of earth so that these dark times would not have a detrimental effect. Most of Humanity survived this vicious and unintentional terraforming with some major cities like London Tokyo and New York surviving with most of their infrastructure intact. humanity set about rebuilding their shattered world.
