Personal history
Hermal Cobblewobble was the eldest son of the richest family in a small halfling village. He revelled in his wealth, would enjoy extravagant evenings that consisted of gregarious generosity. After squandering his youth and paying his way though education he felt it was time for a gap year, and that meant travelling.
There was however one thing that Hermal hadn't accounted for, that the bags of copper pieces that defined his wealth were worth significantly less in the wider world. After requesting the most comfortable room at the first inn he came across, Hermal was broke.
No money in his pocket, Hermal lets his confidence pay his way. He discovers that acting like he was as wealthy as he was in the halfling village, would occasionally be gifted things and generally get treated better. He played up to this and it didn't take too long for him to have actually amassed the fortune he pretended to have. Using this wealth he bought happiness to all he encountered.
When confronted by a group of desperate adventures calling themselves Yarr Radz who were in need of financial support for their quest, Hermal saw an opportunity to make a great many more people happy. Eventually he found himself a true member of the group, and when he found himself face to face with needing to save the universe, he did his bit and was rewarded with godhood.
