Valfenyord
The most norhtern nation of them all, Valfenyord was originally inhabited primarily by centuars. Hiding away in deep vales during winter these mostly nomadic peoples would roam across the breadth of their native land during the short summer, giving the illusion of a land mostly uninhibited. When the goliaths arrived conflict arose immediately, only for peace to come the winter after, resulting in an uneasy relationship where both sides were wary of one another. That changed when the high elves arrived to raid, and take slaves. The centaurs retreated to their ancient vales, riding out the worst of the worst siege in relative safety while their neighbors were not so lucky. Exposed on the plains, they were bested by the superior military might of the southern empire. Vast swathes of goliaths would soon be dragged away in chains while the lucky few were able to plead for safe harbor amongst the centaurs.
This bond would deepen with time, and eventually, when the high elven empire broke and the lost goliaths returned home, they were welcomed. Now united by blood, and struggle, these two peoples now share far more in common than they once did.
Dragon Population: Mostly made up of white dragons who sought the quiet contemplation of the far north after the dissolution of the ancient dragon empire, these solitary beings rarely emerge from their ice caves. Several who did break their meditations have gone on to become important figures in the local population, leading cities, or serving as an advisor. A select few raid mortal lands, holding onto their ancient view of draconic supremacy, though not many of these imperialist drakes still live.
