Writ of Questing
Writs of Questing are official reports of adventure type actions that are sanctioned by Principalos - see AAA. (these actions can be sanctioned and categorized cum eo - after the fact)
Types of Quests
There are Quests, Great Quests, Epic Quests and Most Epic Quests. A Quest must have one or more of the following Notable Deeds: Vanquish a Foe, Return with Great Wealth, Save (or Rescue) a Life, Complete a Vow (of Consequence), or Perform a Great Boon (beneficence to the greater community). The higher the level of Quest, the more of these objectives (and more Notable) they must be. Furthermore, it’s readily acknowledged that what is Notable for one may not be Notable for another (based on their prior record and/or the estimable ease of its accomplishment).Purpose
Quests are recorded in order to maintain a record of actions of the Aethersea Adventurer's Association. Evaluation of Quests may impact standing in the organization and such records may be used in legal proceedings as supporting testimony.

Signatories of Quests
Principalos may seal a thing as a Great Quest, a Quest, or a Notable Deed (something significant, but not, in itself, significant enough to qualify as a Quest), a Master of the Guild may signify something as an Epic Quest, and three or more members of the Circle of Guildmasters must define a thing as a Most Epic Quest. Quests are authenticated by Proof and Testimony. But within the past century, reports by the Order of Comentariis has proven the most authentic Testimony.Historical Details
Public Reaction
The earliest Writs of Quest were rehearsed before leaders of the Four Colonies during the latter days of the Aethersea League, and received phenomenal support. They quickly became the preferred Report of the Chancellors and were largely responsible for the support the Aethersea Adventurers Association enjoyed when the Royal Hegemony (Empire) was formed.
