The Merchant's Guild employs a very profit oriented strategy when approaching almost everything. Their goal is to make money, move money, spend money, and to do it all well, for the betterment of the city. Members of the guild are expected to contribute a quota based on their job title and duties, and are given the tools they need to complete their tasks without any fuss. They operate on a very positive, inclusive playing field because, well, anyone driven who likes to make money is a prospect for them.
Public Agenda
The Merchants Guild's main objective is seeing to the continued wealth and prosperity of Vaganbrint, and to make a sizable personal profit as well.
Assets
The entire backbone of the economy in Vaganbrint is sustained against a total of nearly 10,000,000 gold pieces owned and managed by the Merchants Guild. All other forms of currency and the prices of products are weighted against this backing gold, which keeps prices low for citizens and deals lucrative with other cities.
History
Came from humble beginnings when the city was a nameless settlement atop a mountain pass, but over time has grown into the economic tycoon citizens know and respect today.
