The Destruction of the Great Metropolis, Sherain

Involving a fallen star - or rock, depending on the source, the sudden appearance and spread of Ferality, the raging Fires of Sherain, and the subsequent reduction of the metropolis and its' inhabitants to rubble.   Many believe this to be nothing but a cautionary tale; told to inspire respect for the gods, or ones' elders.   Others suspect that, though it may be exaggerated, much of the story of The Great metropolis, Sherain, is in fact true.   Some scholars have studied texts and made recent discoveries on this front ...   Few who have tried to find Sherain succeeded, less survived, and even fewer again returned.
