Mac Cannons
MAC Cannons, or Magnetic Accelerator Cannons, are heavy weapon coilgun systems used by The UNSC. The specific MACs on Xenoth are placed on orbital defense platforms being used to prevent a large scale Covenant invasion. They are the only form of air defense capable of easily taking out Covenant ships, and are high value targets because of this.
Each platform has a small station with a fireteam of 4 assigned to defend it at all times, with one of those 4 being proficient in manually using the gun.
Utility
Used as an anti-air weapon.
