Combat Engineer
After undertaking lengthy training in dealing withdemolitions, breaching and constructing field defenses,bridge-building, and clearing mine fields, some Guardsmenmanage to become Combat Engineers. Also known assappers, they facilitate movement, defense, and the survivalof superordinate and allied forces and impede enemymovement and destroy enemy fortifications.
Imperial Combat Engineers are in all regiments, but appearmuch more common in Siege regiments or those that expectto be engaging in significant amounts of trench or attritionwarfare, being the ones primarily building lines of sandbagsand elaborate defensive perimeters while preparing todemolish the enemy.
As a Combat Engineer, you split your focus between defensive and offensive acts of engineering. While your comrade is inCohesion with you, you may spend an action this round and in the next to use the sandbags you have in order to create aposition of Light Cover. You can only undertake this Order again when you have resupplied your used sandbags. It generallytakes 12 sandbags in order to create an effective defensive position.
