Sylvari

The Sylvari or "Proto-Elves", whom are additionally referred to in Dwarven legend as "Eladrin", are the powerful Fey beings who reign as the predominant species in The Feywilds. During The Galatean Exodus, an incredible amount of Sylvari emigrated to Xelestar. These travelers go on to metamorphose into Elvari after an extended period seperated from The Feywilds, as they were cut off from the ever-abundant supply of Arcane Magick that The Wilds provided. This nigh-religious relationship that the Sylvari people have with their homeland invfluenced every aspect of their very-lives. As such, distinctions can still be made between a Sylvari and a modern Xelestarian Elf, as Sylvari often have bark or leaf-like skin, or even berry-covered twigs growing from their hair, as they truly are projections of The Feywild's influence, themself. Some even believe that Sylvari are perhaps even more spirit than mortal, and that severance from The Wilds is what makes an Elf weak and killable; with some going so far as to say that a true Sylvari is more like a powerful familiar than it's wizard: never truly dead, only immediately put back into the web of magick to return in a moment when they are called upon again.   Despite the fact that Titania and Oberon , as the two Gods of The Sylvari are entirely opposed in all things, most Sylvari still diligently worship both entities. It is worth noting though that most Sylvari make it extremely apparent that the culture and mental state of one born in The Feywilds is in most ways entirely undecipherable by a native Xelestarian. The structure of what a mortal may call "politics" in The Feywilds predominantly occurs between two parties that The Fae refer to as The "Seelie" and "Unseelie", though these parties do not seemingly align, nor interact at all, with the seperate discourse revolving around power struggles for the monarchy.
