Orc

Centuries ago, the continents of Xelestar separated from one another and drifted to distant parts of the globe. In the continent of Vorgrinn , various human societies began to develop and separate based upon desired cultural identity, forming traveling bands of tribesmen seeking a fitting home for their foundation. The Orugaru people formed their society around the tenets of total co-existence with the rampant Wild Spirits that made their home in the dense, untamed wilderness across Vorgrinn (after emigrating to the plain furing The Galatean Exodus). Over time, this symbiotic relationship alongside these primeval, deific forces of nature began to transform these humans into something new entirely. It greened their skin, elongated their teeth to animalistic sizes, and hardened their muscles to resemble the striation in the very wood around them. When groups of Orugaru began to pursue exploration of the Xelestarian seas that lead them to the mainland of Boreal , their name became shortened amongst Elvari society to simply "Orc"; a name that would go on to label even tribes separate from the Orugaru who stumbled across this same manner of rapid evolution in their homeland of Vorgrinn. As a result of the Orcish peoples connection to the animalistic Wild Spirits, many traditional Orcish people live a lifestyle of total vegetarianism apart from the cannibalistic consumption of other humanoid peoples. However, this practice has almost entirely disappeared in modern Orcish peoples following the emigration of Orcs to Boreal over the last several millenia.
