Selcis
(a.k.a. The Poisonous Lady, She Who Suffocates, The Mistress of Magic)
Selcis is the Bennuan goddess of magic, medicine, animals, and toxins. She is portrayed as a Bennu female wearing an elaborate wig with a massive scorpion headdress, carrying a medicine flask in one hand and a crystal orb in the other. Selcis is a beloved figure in Bennuan mythology, as it is her blessing which has bestowed upon the Bennu their resilience to poisoning. Unlike her contemporary Sakhet, Selcis focuses solely on the science of medicine, and not the whole art of healing the body. Her scholars are some of the foremost toxicologists on the continent. Selcis is a popular figure with many temples, but the most notable ones are the temple in Kydyras, which has the largest known poison garden in Xalendria, and her original temple near the Sihathor Oasis, where her deceased priests and priestesses are entombed in a jewel-encrusted pyramid."We are immune to your venom, creature. The Poisonous Lady is our protector in all things. Now taste Her sting."- unnamed Bennu before executing, butchering, and consuming a wayward Gorgorian, Ancient Age
