Nert
(a.k.a. The Great Huntress, Lady of Arrows, She Who Terrifies)
Nert is the Bennuan goddess of fate, wisdom, weaving, and the hunt. She is normally depicted as a female Bennu wearing a a veil made from spider's webs while drawing a bow set with a gold-tipped arrow. Nert is both revered and feared by the Bennu people (her name translates to "she who terrifies"), but she is beloved by hunters, craftsman, and those who seek to understand the deepest mysteries of the universe. Along with her consort Atum, she is one of the oldest deities in her pantheon and features prominently in the most ancient examples of Bennuan art and writing. Nert's temples are numerous, but they tend to be small, open-aired, and set away from other buildings. The reason behind this design is unclear, though some priests speculate the Great Huntress simply prefers her solitude. The largest and grandest temple in her honor breaks from this mold, however. It sits at the very center of Kydyras, sharing a wall with Atum's great temple."She guides your arrows true, my son."- unnamed Bennuan hunter to his son, date unknown
