Vagari
With the invention of the Kinetic Engine, travel along the coast of Wyrring has become much easier. With this ease of travel, as well as the overcrowding of major population centres because of it, many have become disillusioned with life in the cities and seek new lives in the rural countries. Freed from the shackles of the towns they were born in, the Vagari are a group of wanderers, travelling the coast from town to town and country to country. The Vagari find work where they can, typically as short-term farm hands and construction workers, accepting pay in food, goods, and use of a small plot where they can set up camp temporarily.
Vagari travel by several different means. More traditional Vagari tend to travel by boat or by horse drawn carriages, while more modern ones have embraced the kinetic engine and cobble together their own powered carts. Constructed from pieces of scrap metal, untreated lumber, with a kinetic engine core, these carts are affectionately nicknamed "frog wagons" from their hapshaw construction resulting in a jerky, jumpy ride. These carts are the pride of families of Vagari, and are typically colourfully decorated with paints and ribbons.
Some - particularly those in Estalia - view the Vagari with apprehension and distrust, however, most Vagari respect the laws of the territories they pass through, even following Estalian Identification requirements.
The Vagari are also closely associated with followers of Celestia, although they are not necessarily followers themselves. Many Vagari keep symbols of Celestia as a token of good luck, keeping them safe on the road.
