Summer Camp 2025 Reading
Welp, Summer Camp's come and gone, but it's been fun! My goal this year was to write 24 articles and get that Gold medal, but unfortunately I only wrote 23... In my defense, I wrote the first half of the last article on the 31st - with good intentions to finish it - but I didn't get to it until the 4th. So I guess I wrote 23 and a half, so I'll count it as a half-win!

As for the rest of the year, I probably won't have any ambitious goals until Worldember. Although I usually participate in Spooktober, I don't typically write very much for it (as it doesn't quite match this worlds tone and my writing), so I'll likely save some of my creativity for later. I do have some outstanding ideas - namely a couple of short stories - that I'll work on and hopefully finish before then.

- I enjoy the discussion on the social changes that this technology is causing
- Technologies: colossal ships, remote communication systems, automated defense devices, mana-powered energies, and machines which interact with the magical engironment (ideas I may steal in the future)
- Love the history of the tech - a marriage between gnomish engineering which originally adopted magic to expand the limits of their materials with the expertise of living crystals and magic.
- "Là où la technologie Gnome fournissait les structures, la magie Krystalli insufflait la conscience et l’adaptabilité." / "Where Gnome technology provided the structures, Krystalli magic instilled consciousness and adaptability."
- "où les lois de la matière et les lois du mana s’écrivent ensemble." / "Where the laws of matter and the laws of mana cohere."
- Adding the speed of the engine for various vehicles is an excellent detail to include from a gameplay perspective
- Absolutely love the 2nd person voice!
- Good example of adding details - such as armour, sensors, speed, capacity, and how it can be modified - to help describe the capabilities of the vehicle
- I like how the original purpose has become "unravelled" as construction of it has progressed, becoming part fortress and part vault - lots of flavour!
- Lots of flavour, showing what life underground would be like outside the confines and protection of cities - may need to incorporate something similar for the Underdark!
- Very unique form of ghostly possession, where one becomes a host by eating spiritually infected food. Kinda like a combination of possession and fae-food.
- From a gameplay perspective, I can see how this could be incorporated easily into a plot, either from having to exorsize someone already infected, or as a threat to one or more players.
- The introduction is very good at setting the stage and drawing in the reader.
- The article is very well linked, and well organized!
- Having two short "narrative" sections on the right side add to the character of the area, demonstrating that this isn't just "a place", but it's a place where things happen. Also like the quote at the top of the article.
- Adding events at the bottom which have occurred at the location is very convenient!
- Cool coral reef which changes with the moon, causing it's protective guardians to also adapt to the changing conditions
- Very good narrative section at the beginning, which is clarified in later sections

23 (and a half) articles is a huge win, so congratulations!!
