Enginist

"Enginist" is a very new term, refering to one who works with Kinetic Engines, including those that make the engines themselves, create mechanical accessories to them (such as gearboxes or Technocore), and create devices using the engines.   In Estalia, Enginist is a protected title, requiring one to register with The Trades Houses of Estalia before it can be used. There is no such requirements in Aedan or the Summer Shores, however, in the Summer Shores it is generally accepted that an "enginist" is specifically graduated from The Grand College, while a "mechanist" is an ungraduated worker. Due to the difficulty in achieving appropriate accreditation, enginists in Estalia and the Summer Shores often use the term as an honorific, either putting "Enginist" or the short-form "Eng." In front of their names. This practice is typically not followed in Aedan.   The elves of Clarenware Woods and Sylvia don't use these honourifics - due to their aversion of Kinetic Engines - but instead use a demonstrative, refering to Enginists as "poupidou". This term comes from a wood louse found in the area which eats through large swaths of forest, destroying them, as the elves believe that the kinetic engines (and their constructions) do.
