Historical Overview
The Eastern Annex marks the change from the iconic architecture of the capital region-proper of the Coquet Heights to the outer reaches of the area's eastern half. This transition is not only political and architectural, but clearly marked by the roadway itself. While the
Old Eastern Way, which links the center of the Coquet Heights to the Eastern Annex, is made of carefully maintained white stone, the Eastern Annex sees more wear-and-tear, and lacks the both the style and comfortable accoutrements of more central roads.
Route
The Eastern Annex runs almost entirely through the territory of
House Prominere, connecting
House Ilia's city of
Aetna's Rest to Prominere's
Honeymill and
The Promenade. While these are the only major cities along the route, the road runs along a scenic cliffside overlooking
Honeyo Bay, and is surrounded by idyllic golden fields in one of the Coquet Height's few fertile regions.
When the Eastern Annex arrives at Honeymill, it also splits into
The Haruspal Way, a sacred route used by the
College of Vestrial Priestesses during the
Haruspex Festival, which leads to
Vestria's Grounds.
