Passions

Passions are advantages that represent a character's interests unrelated to their purpose in life or grand desires - the little things that nontheless bring them to life and give them solace in times of hardship. Even the most dutiful noble can find time to pursue such an interest, for to deny all joy is to hardly live a human existance. Passions are paired against Anxieties, and the two cancel each other out if both applied to the same check. Each Passion has a unique narrative effect and describes the Ring the check must be made with for the Passion's mechanical effect to apply. When you perform a check related to your Passion, succeed or fail, you remove 3 Strife.
