The Arcane Age was the age before the Regal Age, when magic and sorcery ruled supreme, along with those who knew how to wield them. The Empire of the River Elves was led by their council of sages, the Cohnar valley was entirely ruled by the Orcish Empires of the Red-Orc Sorcerer-Kings, and the Empire of Arlofos was at it's greatest apex, led by their Eternal King and the Amber and Violet towers. Perhaps even more notable than all of those was the grand nation of mages, Tualey. The nation was the most powerful force on the planet, and nearly everyone there was capable of casting spells.
The Age started towards its end when a catastrophe struck Tualey, and the inhabitants of the nation all disappeared. Soon after, the Korlech and Orlec people slew the Red-Orc Sorcerers and took the Cohnar Valley for themselves. The Nations of Beleduin and Magnoram ceased their era-long war, coming to an agreement to become one nation, under the condition that the River Sages were exiled. The Eternal King of Arlofos even went into reclusion, barely speaking to anyone, which caused his two towers to devolve into squabbling over territory and power struggles, breaking into four academies.
