Would it be possible to add the genre "Alternative History"? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure where my world falls, but "Speculative Fiction" and "Experimental" are pretty close. Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestion! I have some clarifying questions, the way I understand speculative fiction is as supergenre of any fiction including stuff that doesn't exist in real life. I don't quite know how to make a speculative fiction genre that isn't basically all worlds.   As for experimental, I'd be happy to add that in the next update. I'd really appreciate some suggestions for subgenres or types of worlds you might find, if you happen to have any!

Yep, "Speculative Fiction" is a fancy way to say "Catch-all." :-) It does cover pretty much everything, but it would be handy for those whose worlds include multiple genres without focusing on one or another.   As for other subgenres, I've only started scratching the surface of all the worlds here, but I've seen hints of Western, Romance, Steampunk, Grimdark, Horror...the WA "Genre" selections when you configure a new world would be a good list to start with.

You can submit to multiple genres, and you don't have to fit them perfectly. As long as you think there's at least one fantasy/sci fi/etc fan who'd be happy to find your world, you should submit it!   Oh, I'm sorry, I should've been more clear what I was asking. I wondered if you had any suggestions for subgenres of experimental worlds, different suggestions of subtypes to help people convey what they mean by experimental.

Hmm....I think "Experimental" is intentionally vague as a literary term simply because it's another catch-all for "the weird stuff." I just discovered another term, though, which might be a subgenre of that, which would fit my world perfectly: Metafiction: "Metafiction is a form of fiction that emphasizes its own narrative structure in a way that inherently reminds the audience that they are reading or viewing a fictional work. Metafiction is self-conscious about language, literary form, and storytelling, and works of metafiction directly or indirectly draw attention to their status as artifacts. Metafiction is frequently used as a form of parody or a tool to undermine literary conventions and explore the relationship between literature and reality, life and art." -- [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metafiction)
