Seeker of Souls
Seekers of Souls serve as the eyes and hands of the Ancestral Atheneums. They enter every Manifest and the realms of Shadow and Heaven in an attempt to record which afterlife every soul has gone for their final reward, or punishment. Most of the work is done by simple clerks who take rubbings in graveyards, or make copies in archives. The Seekers deal with more difficult cases.
Seekers? Yeah, they come and go through the Gates every day here in the Zone, ghost lanterns in one hand and ecto-pistols in the other. They do the dirty work for the Atheneums, getting the info that the scribes don't have the stones for. Sure, they're creepy, but if you get a few drinks in 'em they have the best stories!
Seekers of Souls are field agents working for the Ancestral Atheneums, sanctioned by priests of Molak, the God of Death. These clerical detectives travel the realms of Shadow and Heaven to confirm the fates of the dead in the Hedron Network and investigate missing spirits. They travel the spaces between life and death with a holy symbol in one hand and a hellfire shotgun in the other.
The Seekers take the lead dealing with afterlife bureaucrats and greedy devils. They sometimes work with Tridenser Knights seeking restless undead to put into the Soul Storage Spire.
