Relic of Thrull The Friend
This Great-sword is previously owned by Thrull the Friend who used to be a Lieutenant of Gruumsh. When the effects of the Vow Tangible took hold on the wielder of this weapon he started to wander. In his wanderings he decided to ferry a vessel and sail to the center of Loch Ren. He ended up finding an undiscovered area of Loch Ren and in doing so game across a young turtle dragon named Ren. Thrull knew his dragon friend would outlive him and in his friends honor carved on a rock in Orc the phrase Isle of Ren. He then crafted a stone throne and at the base he slammed his great-sword into the stone. He said his friendly farewells to Ren then took his seat on the throne and held the hilt of the Great-sword until he passed on. Thrull the Friend has been rumored to still be wandering the Isle of Ren. It is rumored that his spirit and sword can't be removed from the stone throne until a seal of the Vow Tangible is lifted and the return of Gruumsh.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Once attuned the wielder can activate the sword to do one of the following Flame Burst or Breath of Ren. Also the wielder is able to speak and understand Draconic and Orc.
Flame Burst
You can use a bonus action to speak this magic sword's command word, causing flames to erupt from the blade. These flames shed bright light in a 40-foot radius and dim light for an additional 40 feet. While the sword is ablaze, it deals an extra 2d6 fire damage to any target it hits. The flames last until you use a bonus action to speak the command word again or until you drop or sheathe the sword.Breath of Ren
You can use a bonus action to exhale steam at a target within 30 feet of you. The target must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The effect ends after you exhale the steam three times or when 1 hour has passed.Significance
