Lizardfolk

The ascendance of the lizardfolk since the Great Fall has been meteoric. Once a fairly minor race, at least in mainstream civilized society, the ‘folk have multiplied dramatically over the last few hundred years to become the second-largest race on Plumo.   This is in no small part due to their ability to survive on the water. Between their amazing breath control, swimming prowess, natural weaponry, and survival bias, it really is no wonder. They tend to live in coastal towns and cities, or on islands large and small. In those regions, they tend to cluster, not to the exclusion of other races, but certainly enough for ‘lizardfolk quarters’ to pop up in every major coastal settlement. They also have their own towns, seemingly springing up out of nowhere sometimes. Outsiders are welcome, though the facilities might not always be suitable or desirable to them.   Their ability to adapt to the structures and emotional states of other races had evolved somewhat with generational exposure to such things. The economy is something they’ve fully come to grips with… money brings pleasure, though too much money can bring burdens that they do not wish to carry. Emotional states of other species, though still somewhat illogical to them, can at least be handled without undue complaint.   Lizardfolk have risen to positions of power in the corporate world as well as a couple of the minor Noble Houses. The vast majority of them tend to be agnostic, which makes them less prosperous and welcome on the western continent and by clans that derive from the old Sitiri stock. But they are equally at home in the wild eastern lands and the more logical northern lands.
