Their ability to adapt and their knack for being good generalists has allowed the human race to become the most populous on the planet. Equally, at home on land and sea, able to use their fleets to gather fish for both food and fertilizer for their crops, humanity has a distinct advantage over races that don’t traditionally make extensive use of the ocean.   Such is the dominant nature of the humans that they are likely to be found on just about every continent, territory, and island on Plumo. Their share in global leadership positions includes the Emperor, the majority of Noble Houses, both of the major pirate clans, and several city-states gubernatorial and council slots. Over half the major companies and religions are led by humans. They are, simply put, the dominant race.
