Lucifer, the Lightbringer
Lucifer, the Devil, lord of lies, the morning star. The most beautiful of the Empyrael Lords. A being born to be kind and generous, calculting and loving. However, for all of his deemed purity, he was corrupted into a being of unbridled anger and jealousy. Or so has been fed to the masses. In truth. The first of the angels born, just seconds before Azrael, General of Vengeance and Retribution, is not the violent malcontent soul that many have been led to believe. It is true that he fell from grace and the Seven Mounting Heavens of Celestia to join Sereptra, the Great Serpent in his eternal war of wrath. His fall created the Nine Hells of Baator. A cataclysmic conundrum of legendary proportions. His hate and malice made manifest into the plane of damnation itself, creating a crator that pulsed a ripple that could never be undone. In truth, Lucifer hated what his fall had created, and in doing so rejected Sereptra, the Great Serpent before the Second War of the Verum even began. Just before the war broke out, Lucifers most hated and un-loyal lord revolted against the Prince of Lies himself, leading a rebellion unlike had ever been seen before. Asmodeus, the Betrayer overthrew the King of the Nine Hells, imprisoning him within a petty trinket, a sword of mundane craft. There the Devil has lay, trapped and helpless, waiting for aeons for his revenge, and the self professed destruction of Hell itself, in the hope to perhaps return into the graces of the Verum themselves and return home.
