Background

Convicted Under Ducal Law When a citizen or outsider is apprehended, they are given a fair trial. The trial is overseen by three magistrates, this is to nullify any sort of bias and a two of the three must share the same sentencing in order to convict the individual. The civilian population can attend any and all court hearings whether they know the accused or not. The arresting guards must be present, and any witnesses of the crime, and those who can provide any sort of alibi if possible. Being a citizen of Foridia grants you the right to a trial, however if you are not a citizen, the Duchy does not have to grant you one, unless they so deem it.
