A non citizen must obtain a pass upon entering Foridia, their stay can be no more than one year, and a six month grace period of return must be met before coming back to the country. If invited by the Duchess herself, they are permitted to stay indefinitely until she releases the individual from service. In order to gain citizenship the applicant must in person venture to Bannermount to the Office of Foreign Ministries to apply. This process must meet the criteria. A citizen sponsor of Foridia, provide a date of birth, have a necessary skill or trade, drifters and freeloaders are not welcome. Also, a sum of gold must be paid in either one lump or increment of one thousand gold pieces spread out in no more than six months. After applying, the application is sent to Castile Val'ianie where it is reviewed by the Duchess herself. Once her approval is met, the citizen must answer a summons by letter to the Castile, where they will take the citizens oath to the Duchess herself, although a fast meeting, this is considered a great honor, and a warm welcome into the Duchy.
