King Gabriel Greenbriar

King Gabriel Greenbriar was king of Freebridge from 1440 until his death in 1482 at the hands of a blackguard assassin sent by Siege Perilous. He was known as a pious King, frequently at prayer and was considered a very humble man of the people. The would be usurper gathered all manner of foul creatures to his side, having the Demon Krull possess the hand of the king to whisper in the ear of his newly crowned niece, Annabellria Greenbriar. King Gabriels death was what began a nearly debilitating downward spiral for the kingdom of Freebridge. The Greenbriar family was the first family to take control of Freebridge after the slow extinction of the First Men, and remained in control for thousands of years.
