The War of Four Houses

The War of Four Houses was the first great human war, between the four houses of Rosery, Skylar, Mirthen and Tarrenar. The Rosery were great agriculturalists, known for their vast fields of wheat, vineyards of grapes, and pastures of cows and sheep. The Skylar were great travelers, known for mapping the land from the Terra mountains in the far west to the Solar desert in the east. The Mirthen were great mages, known for creating cures for the worst of diseases and lifting horrible curses. The Tarrenar were great builders, raising grand temples, palaces and fortresses. They warred over resources and power, and threw the kingdom of Allendale into a civil war. After the battle of Thorny Pass, the Rosery and Mirthen formed a marriage alliance, with Lady Selena Rosery marrying Lord Lucius Mirthen. After the assassination of Lord Peregrine 'Hawk' Tarrenar, the head of Skylar house, Lady Phoebe Skylar, pushed for a marriage with the Tarrenar. Once she was wedded to Lord Tybalt Tarrenar (known for being a puppet to his advisors), the war began to wind down, with a peace settlement formed in 410, splitting the kingdom of Cornorum in to two seperate nations, the kingdom of Ruintum and the kingdom of Detegrum.
